Volunteers collaborate with public and private resources to get food to hungry children, impoverished elders, and the disabled, and collect food donations from local restaurants and stores. They participate in emergency response planning (when a hurricane strikes or at other times of crisis, Cornerstone volunteers jump into action to support government agencies in providing needed assistance). The primary concern of the Relief & Aid program is to raise funds and in-kind donations to support the programs and direct assistance needed in the community. Cornerstone serves food to 60 students on school days. Elders are provided dry goods weekly. Those challenged by disabilities or HIV/AIDS are provided with resources needed, which can range from pampers to home repair to medicine. Students living in poverty are supplied with educational fees, uniforms, and text books.
