Community Advancement Society Nepal is in need of some volunteers for teaching in various schools and community learning center in different parts of Nepal.We always seek for rural side and its people for launching our programs.Volunteers can join with us for their optimized volunteering experience and afforable living during their stay in Nepal.Volunteers should teach either in schools or in community center.
After completing the training phase, volunteers will go one of the placement village areas. Volunteers live with host family and go to school with one family member. Volunteers will teach at local school for 2 to 4 hours each day, 6 days in a week. Saturday is day off. The system of teaching is different in Nepal. Volunteers don't need to use the same method. They will be encouraged to use their own teaching methodologies. Volunteers will also be involved in teaching youth clubs or women group for informal education 1 to 2 hours a day. School children will be 6 to 16 years of age and have a basic level of English. Class size ranges from 20 to 60 students. Volunteers are also expected to share their own teaching methodologies as well help the school teacher to increase their own conversational English skills.
Volunteers should teach english, mathematics, social sciences , Environment and physical education in the governmental school in rural parts of Nepal.

The above cost includes the following :
- Transportation to and from Kathmandu airport.
- Transportation to and from Placements.
- Accommodation and meal during training period and placement.
- Nepali language and cultural information class.
- Administrative cost.
- Contribution to CAS-Nepal projects e.g. Child learning center and youth mobilization activities in village.
In addition, it excludes your flight ticket in Nepal and visa fees.
If you wish to spend more time in Kathmandu pre and post placement period, it is advisable to go trekking and sight seeing etc. Please remember to budget accordingly. This cost will not be covered by CAS-Nepal. Additionally, volunteers are responsible for any incidentals (extra food, laundry, and sodas) occurred during training and placement.
The program fees should be paid either in local currency or US Dollar upon arrival in Kathmandu.
