Cornerstone Foundation is a small, dynamic community development NGO located in San Ignacio on the Western border of Belize in Central America. There is an ongoing need for volunteers to fund raise within the local community and worldwide. Projects include organizing community fund raising activities, promoting current activities and programs, liaising with local businesses for regular donations, producing an email newsletter, communicating with colleges and universities worldwide to promote our volunteer opportunities, canvassing for donations from Belizean residents, and seeking donations from Belizeans living abroad.

Cornerstone provides accommodations (dorm style), a hot home cooked Belizean midday meal on work days, orientations (volunteer, house, cultural, and office), staff direction, and office space (including basic equipment and supplies).

This position is for a minimum of one month. Volunteers contribute financially to Cornerstone Foundation and must have travel health insurance. Cornerstone’s office and housing are located in San Ignacio in the Cayo District of Belize (11 miles from Guatemala). Applicants must be 18 years or older. Students, retirees, and other adults are welcome to apply.
