Description:
Volunteer Project:
In a very nice, cool and sunny villages in Nepal together with local community, the aim of the international volunteer team will be to continue the renovation of the village school building. The activities include renovation works, painting the school, making bookshelves. Besides, the volunteers will also have opportunity to teach some Basic English in classes.
The volunteers will also do health campaigns for children to talk to them about cutting nails, brushing teeth, and giving example in introducing the rubbish treatment by the means of concrete activities: collecting rubbish in the school area, making rubbish bins, etc.
Free Time: The volunteers will have the opportunity to be involved in agricultural activities like planting or harvesting rice, walking around the village with beautiful scenery of mountain area and paddy’s field, and the local youth will help you to discover the village, its waterfall and river. During free time, the participants can visit different Temples, do river sport activity like rafting, or visit the marvelous & enchanting places. Language: English
Location: This project will be held in different rural villages of the project location. You would have chances to choose the location in any of the places: Chitwan, Nawalparasi, Lumbini, and Pokhara.
Accommodation: Local host family
Transportation: All the villages besides in some mountainous areas have access to transportation. You could use public transportation to reach the project location.
Age range: 18 +
Fees: It depends on the duration of volunteering.
Application fee: $ 25.
Program fees range from $250 for 2 weeks to $ 850 for 5 months.
Fees are for accommodation and food during your volunteering period and transportation to and from project location. It also covers the Nepali language training and cultural knowledge tips and hotel accommodation and foods during stay in kathmandu.
The fee is intended to support the hosting organization that doesn't have sufficient funds. The fee is payable upon arrival in Nepal.
