Description:

Neighborhood Bike Works needs cyclists with enthusiasm and patience to join groups of 8-18 year old youth and a staff member on monthly rides. It's hard to have too many volunteers for this job! We have at least one ride per month - usually on the fourth Saturday - but many more rides are also scheduled throughout the year. Rides usually meet at 9 am, depart when everyone is ready, and return by 3 pm.

We will be riding SLOWLY and safely to interesting sites and events in the Philadelphia area. Volunteers must model and enforce safe cycling habits including wearing a helmet and riding single-file on the road without passing, and should be willing to engage youth in recreational or educational activities. Individuals with a bike in good condition and a properly fitting helmet preferred; we can help with basic maintenance or loan you a bicycle of ours if necessary.

How to Apply:

Please send an email to volunteers@neighborhoodbikeworks.org or give us a call at 215-386-0316. Please include a brief description of what interests you about this opportunity, as well as any relevant skills or experience.
