Description:
A Wider Circle needs experienced mothers to offer their parenting advice, guidance and support to participants in our Well Mother, Well Baby Program. Well Mother, Well Baby is a comprehensive health and wellness course that offers low-income, young, pregnant women information and support when they need it most. Typically, mentor moms meet or talk on the phone with their mentees for an hour or so each week. Mentors offer practical pregnancy and parenting advice, as well as guidance as the young mothers make education and career decisions.
Your experience is a valuable resource. We are looking for volunteers to mentor in the DC and Montgomery County areas who are able to make a year-long commitment.
