Description:
Training residents in job search skills is a major component of New Life Community’s programming. As part of this process, residents learn how to dress appropriately for job interviews and for work in professional settings. Female volunteers are needed from all professions to serve as examples of how people dress at her job on a day-to-day basis. Under the direction of NLC’s Employment Specialist, each volunteer will also describe her job duties, explain employment &/or education requirements, workplace culture, related issues and answer residents’ questions. Demonstrations/discussions typically last no more than an hour and take place on Mondays and Thursdays between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Volunteer Demonstrators can come in once a month, once a year or somewhere in between!
