Description:
Environmental Camps for Conservation Awareness( ECCA)has been a leading organization in the sector of social mobilization and community development. It implements various programs so as to raise the quality of life through wise-use of available local resources and application of alternate and renewable technologies.
They have established nature clubs in local government schools to improve and preserve the school environment and its surroundings.
Volunteers should be of age 20 or above with education of undergarduation. Volunteers may not apply for the placement in month of June and July.
Volunteers can assist by doing following:
Develop and run seminars on topics related to the environment and conservation.
Create awareness and empower youth.
Clean-up of Bagmati river , which is degraded to high extent conservation awareness.
Potential to help with school building improvements.

Yes, Basecamp International welcomes all the interested non local participants to volunteer and make a difference. Upon arrival in country our staff will pick you up at the airport and return you to our Orientation Center for a safety briefing and general country orientation. For this program you are required to complete one week of language training and orientation which is included in the cost of the program. At the end of that week you will transfer to your placement to begin volunteering. Our staff are available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week should you require help of any kind.
