The Patronato Nacional de Rehabilitacion is an institution that cares for people with some type of disability and that some way or another do not have a family or have been abandoned. They serve the disabled children and adults that someway or another are orphans.
This rehabilitation centre treats people of all ages with disabilities who have been abandoned by their families or who have no family. The centre needs all the help they can get to keep the place running and give the patients the treatment they deserve. Because these patients have no family, any extra attention and help will make a huge impact on their lives.
Volunteers should be of age 18 or above with minimum education of high school. Volunteers with following special skills are good for this placement:
Doctor
Nurse
Medical Student
Pre-Med Student
Standard First-Aid
Health & Hygiene Training
Public Health

Yes, Basecamp International welcomes all the interested non local participants to volunteer and make a difference. Upon arrival in country our staff will pick you up at the airport and return you to our Orientation Center for a safety briefing and general country orientation. For this program you are required to complete one week of language training and orientation which is included in the cost of the program. At the end of that week you will transfer to your placement to begin volunteering. Our staff are available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week should you require help of any kind.
