Description
Assist Red Cross in delivering mission to provide relief to victims of disaster and help prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
Willingness to support Red Cross Mission
Provide timely response to disasters and assist victims
Respond to disaster scenes as assigned by DAT Manager within specific time constraints
Provide Red Cross services (food, clothing, shelter) to disaster victims
Operate within appropriate established fiscal controls
Complete required ARC forms at disaster site
Provide referrals to other agencies
Effectively communicate availability and schedule needs to DAT Manager
Participate in DAT meetings no less than four times per year
Track and submit volunteer hours
Skills
Strong organizational, verbal, written communications skills
Ability to be team player
Able to respond at all hours or as scheduled with own transportation
Non-judgmental and aware of diversity issues
Able to maintain confidentiality with clients matters
Complete a minimum DAT calls
