Description:
Qualifications:
Must be able to establish and maintain an atmosphere of respect and dignity within the Agency, and foster good working relationships between and among staff, other volunteers, and consumers. Compassion and the ability to make smart decisions to represent the consumers’ best interests are a must. Experience with developmentally disabled is a plus.
Duties:
•Responsible for creating, and implementing activities for consumers scaled to their interests and needs
•Will encourage family, staff and community involvement
•Will work with the Special Outings volunteers, making driving arrangements, etc. for outings
•Research internet sites and the community for these special events, including but not limited to taking trips to the zoo or other museums, or participating in events especially for the developmentally disabled
