Description:
Sword of the Spirit Intl (SOS), a US 501(c)(3) organization based in Uganda, East Africa, welcomes college students, recent graduates, and professionals from all over the world to support its projects in communities in Africa. SOS is a rapidly growing organization comprised of volunteer-spirited individuals dedicated to our model for training, equipping, empowering and transformation.
We have long tem and short term volunteer opportunities ranging in duration from weeks to months, teaching ESOL (literacy) empowering and instilling hope in women in the villages of Uganda. All volunteers provide their own support, but are greatly rewarded through the impact on the lives of those we serve. Volunteers receive a high level of responsibility and the chance to utilize and develop their skills in a challenging yet passionate environment. Volunteers take on a wide variety of projects during their stays--many more than can be listed via the "skills needed" and "area of focus" categories above. We welcome applications from people with energy and skills who believe in teaching, training, empowering and sustainable development.
