Description:
Working with the charity WORLDwrite and its fledgling not-for-profit film company Chew on it productions on projects that impact on the world, this is a role for volunteers who want to try their hand at project management. WORLDwrite has a series of projects which cover local and global issues, as well as a film facility, a film training programme, a volunteer centre, a volunteer programme, an appeals programme and more. Each project needs a manager to oversee it, to assist other volunteers, to coordinate communications, to feed back to a team, and to ensure projects are on plan, on time and on budget. These are part-time opportunities for volunteers who can organise people, help create a team spirit, have the drive to get a job done and don’t mind mopping up the mess. Volunteer project managers can either pick a preferred project area to manage, or take on more than one project, or share the responsibility with a fellow volunteer.
