Description:
Creative and practical volunteers who would like to be great organisers are needed to help promote and produce successful fundraising events and screenings of short documentaries with a global edge, as well as plan and arrange launches, presentations, meetings and training programmes. Working with the charity WORLDwrite and its fledgling not-for-profit film company Chew on it productions on short films that will impact on the world, this is a role for volunteers who want to try their hand at making events happen. The event organiser role is a big one: planning and working through venue ideas, promotional details, publicity, selling tickets and more. Working with other volunteers to get films that challenge the status quo out into the wider world, the opportunity exists for volunteers to take on all aspects of this demanding role or to take on smaller tasks such as designing flyers, preparing press releases, running stalls and solving logistical problems.
Previous skills not required but a commitment to global equality is a must!
