Description:
GPEN seeks volunteers who can research and compile information for the GPEN.org website, primarily through internet research. We also welcome people who read newspapers or newsletters who would commit to posting environmental items they see in those specific publications on a weekly or monthly basis. Work on your own schedule and help grow the GPEN network.
NOTE: the content we publish on GPEN.org is specific to Philadelphia and surrounding 4 counties (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery). As this volunteer opportunity is virtual, volunteers can be based anywhere, but it would be more interesting and rewarding for you if you are local to our area. We invite you to visit and get to know GPEN.org or check out our group on Facebook.
Required Skills: GPEN seeks volunteers who are self-directed and have internet access, basic typing skills, good spelling, and good command of the English language. Preferred: volunteers who can excerpt from other websites and do light editing to create short summaries describing organizations. (If you are not a good writer/editor but have good spelling, we may be able to pair you up with someone who can help with the summaries).
