Description:
Working with the charity WORLDwrite, volunteers are needed to join a team committed to developing an alternative monthly newsreel and fledgling News Channel. Covering work produced by the charity’s volunteers, as well as key debates and issues, the newsreel will examine the hot issues, investigate alternative views and summarise opinions. The newsreels will not cover the usual stories or existing preoccupations but will seek out local and global subjects which challenge prevailing assumptions, advance new knowledge and critique contemporary fads. With an uncompromising stance on global equality, the fledgling channel and its monthly programme will seek to influence prevailing attitudes and ideas. WORLDwrite is looking for a volunteer animator who can imaginatively create short animated sequences for titles, credits or to illustrate news pieces, ideally with a bit of humour! Time is flexible for this project and much can be done from home or college. This project welcomes newcomers to the UK to help advance a truly global perspective.
