Our long-term volunteers work in a head-volunteer capacity for each school that we work at, with one long-term volunteer per school. The volunteer will work as an assistant to our coordinator, and add an extra layer of stability and continuity to the schools and the placement.

You can help improve the quality of education for children along the Arajuno Road in Ecuador.

Volunteers have the opportunity to live an teach in schools of the jungle, and make a real difference to the lives of the children and families. We have introduced more interesting and fun ways of learning, which makes for a better experience for children and volunteers alike. Volunteers use music, art sport and drama to teach English and other key subjects as part of a rounded curriculum.

Continuity is at the heart of our projects. We are a non-profit organisation working only to improve the education and living standards of the area. Our structured volunteer placements allow us to give our volunteers and the children the best possible experience.

For more information on our project, please visit http://www.youvolunteer.org . Information on our free one year volunteer placements can currently only be found on Idealist.

We are currently looking for somebody to start in December 2009, January/February 2010 and March/April 2010 to work in two of 6 schools along the road.
