Join a Volunteer Postering Team for Uhuru Furniture!
Like to keep moving and get outside? We're look for people to join a postering team and go out once or twice a month on this simple but effective marketing project. We know you're busy, but everyone has a little time to support the African People's Education and Defense Fund (APEDF).
APEDF strives to develop and institutionalize programs to defend the human and civil rights of the African community and the address the grave disparities in education, health, health care and economic development of the African community. More info www.APEDF.org.
With a partner or group, you'll head out to a commercial area of Philadelphia (or start a team for your neighborhood anywhere in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas!) with a stack of color promotional posters and walk store to store and hang them in merchant's windows or on community bulletin boards, using our list of stores which do give permission. Each route takes about 30-60 minutes for a team of two people.
We are looking to set up teams of 2-4 to hit 2-3 routes once a month. Looking to go out on your own time? We'll assign individual routes to those with busy schedules looking to squeeze it in wherever. Start a team with your friends!
