Description:

This involves working with beautiful children who lost both their parents mostly to HIV/AIDS, but all the 25 children are HIV negative. These amazing children are ages between 4 - 13, and are gifted with special talents in academic, sports, music, art performance and many more. But lack someone to help build their talents. Besides, there are other children from surrounding communities who would as well benefit from your generous service. As a volunteer working at our Orphanage, you will be doing an important role in the lives of these needy children, as well as assisting the hardworking staff of the orphanage.

LOCATION OF THE PROGRAM
The program is located at Maragwa, central highlands of Kenya, 70 kilometers from Nairobi

DURATION OF THE PROGRAM
The duration depends on the volunteer’s availability and travel arrangements. We accept volunteers both short-term, 2-4 weeks and long-term, 1- 3 months. For volunteers wanting to travel, we are able to assist with providing information.

PROGRAM FEE
US$90 per week payable prior or at the start of the placement. The program fee covers your meals, accommodation, orientation & supervision.

FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION
Food & accommodation are provided as part of the program.

AIR TICKET AND TRAVEL COSTS
Volunteers are required to purchase their own airline tickets. A representative of the program will meet you at the airport upon arrival.

PERSONAL EXPENSES
services such as internet, telephone, countryside travels, gift items, amenities etc are available at a small fee.
