Description:
PROJECT MANAGER
Sofia village Yatta district , Kenya
We are looking for a volunteer/intern to help on the following tasks;
• Overall supervision and running of the orphanage, staff,
• Creating and managing records of the children, including sponsored children and their medical records and maintaining children personal hygiene
• Managing budget of the orphanage and related community projects effectively.
• Delegating jobs and tasks to the volunteers including assigning specific roles.
• Improving discipline of children by implementing new reward & punishment scheme, and assigning them duties around the orphanage.
• Better management of reimbursing volunteer expenses.
• Organizing a date at the beginning of each month for sponsored children to come and receive aid from the orphanage.
• Managing continuing improvement of orphanage facilities
LOCATION OF THE PROGRAM
The program is located at Yatta district, eastern of Kenya, 90 kilometers from Nairobi
DURATION OF THE PROGRAM
We recommend that volunteers stay 1 - 2 years to gain the experience managing a local NGO, and to have an impact upon the community.
FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION
Food & accommodation are provided at no charge for volunteer/intern staying over a year.
AIR TICKET AND TRAVEL COSTS
You are required to cater for your own air tickets. our staff will meet you at the airport upon arrival.
PERSONAL EXPENSES
internet, telephone, district touring, gifts, luxuries etc are available at a little fee.
