Description:
World Artists Experiences builds bridges of understanding using the universal language of the arts. WAE is based primarily in Maryland, but is expanding into Virginia, Delaware and Southern Pennsylvania. We are always looking for open-minded individuals interested in international cultures and/or the arts. Volunteers are currently needed for our Ambassador Series program, which works with artists and performers from around the world to create events that showcase countries or areas of the world and their cultures. Artists often stay with host families near their performance venues and interact with local communities as part of this cross-cultural exchange.
Volunteer hosts have the unique opportunity to connect with artists from around the world and to share their own heritage as part of the greater mission of global understanding. More general Ambassador Series program volunteers also help with organization of cultural events and publicity. All events are free and open to the public—come to our next event and experience why World Artists Experiences believes in the power of the arts to create a world of mutual respect, trust and hope!
How to Apply:
To become a World Artists Experiences Volunteer, please send a note of introduction with your specific interests to the following address: wae@comcast.net or call 410.647.4482
