Description:
Would you like to make a difference in a young person’s life? Asian American LEAD, a non-profit organization located in Wheaton, MD, is seeking volunteers (21 or over) to provide stable and trusting relationships with low-income Asian American youth. As a mentor, you will have the chance to get to know a young person, learn and explore new things together, as well as support your protégé in his/her effort to develop academic and life skills necessary to succeed. Mentors need not be Asian American.
AALEAD provides mentor training and continuous support throughout the length of your mentorship. Mentors are to commit to the program for at least one year, 6 hours per month. Do not hesitate to call and inquire, should you have any questions.
How to Apply:
Visit us at www.aalead.org, email the Mentoring Program Manager at yperez@aalead.org, or call 301-942-9333.
