Description:
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with American Red Cross. Your support is critical in helping us deliver on our mission of providing relief to disaster victims and helping prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
We are currently collecting names of individuals interested in providing emergency assistance to those affected by the most recent hurricanes as well as the emergency workers at or near the disaster. If you would like to add your name to our chapter’s registry of individuals interested in volunteering for this relief effort, please contact the Greenwich Chapter of the American Red Cross.
The American Red Cross needs individuals with a variety of skills, including (but not limited to):
* Previous orientation with Red Cross programs
* First AID and CPR
* Introduction to Disaster Response and Relief
It is also helpful if you have background or training in the following areas:
* Health Services
* Client Casework
* Feeding
* Transportation
* Facilities
* Supply
* Sheltering
Again, thank you for your interest and support.
How to Apply:
In the meantime, we suggest you visit http://www.redcross.org/flash/course01_v01/ for an online “Introduction to Disaster Services Training.”
Or Call Andrew Sindell at the Greenwich Chapter of the American Red Cross for details on how to get involved at 203-869-8444 ext. 122
