WorldMeets.US seeks Farsi translators to translate news stories about America into English. The time commitment is very flexible.

WORLDMEETS.US is a project to connect Americans with the rest of the world, and inform them about global perceptions of their nation.

As a volunteer, you will join a committed team of international translators and journalists who have worked at some of the greatest news organizations in the world, including The Associated Press, the International Herald Tribune, and Reuters. The project has been recognized by several well-known media outlets and our editor appears daily on a blog radio show.

At its core is a news site (www.worldmeets.us) that translates foreign-language news and opinion about the United States. In the near future, the site will expand to include all the essentials of an online community that will nurture citizen diplomacy across the globe.

The driving force behind the project is a belief that Americans often know very little about how U.S. policies, politics and actions affect other nations. Given the level of cooperation that the next few decades will require, direct contact and relationship-building between Americans and people around the world is essential.
