UNFPA Reproductive Health Campaign for Adolescents

OBJETIVE OF THE PROJECT: UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is an international development agency that promotes the right of every woman, man and child to enjoy a life of health and equal opportunity. UNFPA supports countries in using population data for policies and programs to reduce poverty and to ensure that every pregnancy is wanted, every birth is safe, every young person is free of HIV/AIDS, and every girl and woman is treated with dignity and respect.
This project aims to work with adolescents in the local schools and women in the surrounding communities.
This program is developed in coordination with the Health Centre of Urubamba(MINSA)..

PROGRAM LENGTH: 6 weeks minimum

VOLUNTEER GROUPS: 2 volunteers minimum – 8 volunteers maximum

VOLUNTEER´S ROLE:
Conduct Reproductive Health Workshops
• Using the UNFPA´s workshop modules, prepare workshops for adolescents at schools and health centres in Urubamba and nearby locations.
• Select adolescents by age groups to participate in the different modules.
• Conduct pre and post surveys on every adolescent that participates in the workshops in order to measure learning and awareness.
• Write a full report, including indicators and recommendations for future volunteers and workshops.
