Opportunity Description:
Community Outreach Leaders teach emergency preparedness (how to prevent and prepare for emergencies) to New Yorkers through a combination of presentations and tabling events. Events require planning and travel to off-site locations. Necessary training and support will be provided.
Time Commitment/Shifts:
A minimum of four 3 hour shifts per week during regular business hours, evenings or weekends
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Strong public speaking skills
• Willingness to operate or learn audio visual equipment
• Ability to travel throughout NYC boroughs
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to lift 30 lbs
• Willingness to travel to Manhattan for training
• Punctuality
• Flexibility
• Valid drivers license a plus
• Bilingual skills a plus
