Department Description:

Education and Prevention programs focus on reducing the spread of HIV through results-oriented and measured outreach programs that are tailored to specific at-risk community groups, focused on the health of Santa Cruz County, and are based on principles of Harm Reduction.

administrative assistance: includes data entry, filing, letter writing, supply filling, developing and maintaining inter-agency contacts

research: involves researching statistics and policies to be used for presentations, in grant applications, and for resource development

direct service: work directly with participants in programs such as the Needle Exchange, HIV and HCV testing sites, street outreach, Youth Hours, Women's Hours, and throughout the county

program development: develop resource guides, design fliers, secure donations, policy work, survey participants, and programming
