As a volunteer fundraiser, you will be required to work with individuals, businesses, charitable organisations and communities in Ghana, to raise the awareness of the aims and objectives of the trust and also increase the contributions and donations from such individuals and organisations.

You will also be required to approach new organisations, corporations, statutory bodies, major donors, individuals and other sources both in Ghana and abroad by email and fundraising events.

Aside these, your duties will also include:

1. developing new and imaginative fundraising activities and techniques;
2. developing and coordinating a web-based fundraising for the trust;
3. increasing funds through researching and targeting organisations which you believe will be interested in assisting in the activities of the trust;
4. developing and implementing a strategy for the trust to fundraise in your absence;
5. etc

Skills needed for placement
First and foremost, volunteers must show a strong interest in fundraising. They should realize that in developing countries such as Ghana, there are a lot of lapses in work. Volunteers will therefore need to be tolerant and flexible in order to meet their goals. Taking initiatives and follow-ups will help them overcome hurdles and face challenges more confidently.

Educational background: high school, college or university
Work experience: at least a years experience in a related area above
