Description:
Sports fan would like to talk sports with someone and perhaps attend an occasional game. Professional and amateur sports ranging from baseball, hockey, basketball and others are of interest. A pair of volunteers could be a fan-team (great for spouses, friends, etc)! Training is provided and the schedule is flexible.
Reach out to a member of the community who may be lonely and isolated due to severe depression or another mental illness by becoming a Sports Fan. Volunteer should be friendly, kind and possess good listening skills. It is helpful to have a car. You will be reimbursed for mileage and pre-approved expenses. Remember, activities and hours are your choice!
No specific location is needed. We welcome volunteers from the entire area though the majority of our services are in Ramsey and Dakota Counties.
