School Choice Illinois is pleased to announce that it is seeking nominations of qualified candidates for service on its Board of Directors. We thank you in advance for helping us to build the strength and diversity of our Board of Directors.

School Choice Illinois is a nonprofit grassroots public policy organization working to expand educational options in the state. Our vision is all children will have access to high quality schooling options by empowering parents to exercise the right to choose a school that meets their child’s educational needs.

All nominations should email the nominee’s resume (if possible) for submission.



The following are specific skill sets of value to our organization:
*Business & financial management (accounting, budgeting, cash flow, legal)
*Fund raising (specific expertise in fund raising, including research, proposal writing, & solicitation)
*Personnel (hiring, firing, personnel policies, benefits, etc.)
*Board development (evaluation of members, orientation & training, committee structure)
*Planning (strategic plan, mission statement, monitoring, evaluation)
*Communications/PR (public relations, publicity, marketing, linkage to other groups, political contacts)
*Service delivery (volunteer activities, evaluation, new program delivery)

Previous board experience is a plus. Young professionals are especially encouraged to inquire.
