Description:
Boat People SOS-MD is seeking Vietnamese interpreters/translators who can assist us with interpreting for clients and translating office documents. The volunteer needs to have native Vietnamese speaking and writing proficiency. Interpretation services are usually on location at doctor's offices and occur during daytime hours. Interpretation services are performed for clients who speak little to no English and need assistance understanding medical terms and feeling comfortable asking health-related questions.
Translation services can be done remotely or from our volunteer office in Silver Spring and would provide support to all current programs in our office.
Ideally, volunteers could commit to 1-2 hours/week or be available "on call" or via email for assignments.
