Description:

The Child and Family Wellness project (CFWP) works to provide holistic support to children impacted by the incarceration of a parent/caregiver. The project’s primary emphasis areas include family support, healthy communication, connection to supportive adults, caring school climate, self-esteem building and social competencies such as resistance skills, planning, decision making and conflict resolution.

The Outreach Coordinator’s primary responsibilities will include working with schools, County agencies and other community organizations to identify children in need of project services, coordinate structured family activities, design project materials, recruit and train volunteers, maintain tracking systems and support the fundraising efforts of the project.

The Outreach Coordinator will also have the opportunity to develop other components for the project that will be helpful in building self-defined skills relevant for future career plans. Ultimately, this position will work as a member of a team to build the infrastructure of the project to ensure its future success.

Qualifications:
• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated concern for the needs and rights of underrepresented populations.
• Ability to recruit, organize and establish effective relationships with all stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
