Description:
Share what you know and love with the children of Lowell!
WHO: Any individual or group with skills to share with young people aged 11-14!
WHAT: Teach your profession or hobby in after-school apprenticeships. No teaching
experience is necessary! All Citizen Schools volunteers receive intensive training and are
supported by a full-time, professional educator every step of the way. Cooks teach their apprentices how to cook healthy, delicious meals, artists cultivate young muralists, gardeners lead a team of twelve year- old green thumbs, and engineers lead the next generation of scientific explorers!
WHEN: Volunteers teach weekly 90-minute learning projects for 10 afternoons. The fall session begins in late August and ends in mid-December.
WHERE: Citizen Schools runs at the Robinson Middle School (110 June Street) & the Wang Middle School (365 West Meadow Road) in Lowell.
