Description:
Members will perform health outreach and education, act as case managers and advocates for patients, and manage volunteer recruitment and retention within the health clinic site. Targeted service areas include diabetes, oral health, maternal-child health, health literacy and HPV/cervical cancer awareness. Members will be responsible for giving health presentations, teaching clients in groups or one-on-one, providing case management and follow-up, maintaining a volunteer database. Members are required to attend a number of outside trainings and participate in Team Days and service projects across the state during the service year. Applicants must be US citizens. The ability to travel and to be available outside of the 8-5 clinic schedule is a must.
