Description:

Over the phone, friendly and compassionate volunteers will pre-screen callers for FoodShare (food stamp) eligibility, encourage them to make an application, and refer them to sites where one-on-one application assistance will be available. We’ll also offer information regarding which items can be purchased with benefits, the location of stores where benefits can be redeemed, and answer general FoodShare program questions. Two-hour shifts are available Monday's 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Tuesday's through Thursday's from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Friday's from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Sound like a lot to learn? Don’t worry! Training will be provided and most of the information will be right on the computer screen in front of you, just one click away. You can count on available outreach staff to help with the tougher questions.
