Have you completed a term of service with AmeriCorps? Are you interested in serving again? We have an opportunity for you!
Louisiana CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is seeking an AmeriCorps*VISTA Team Leader for their team of 10 members (and growing!). If you are passionate about the AmeriCorps*VISTA program and volunteer recruitment, we are looking for you!
***Note: To apply you must have served and completed at least one term with AmeriCorps*VISTA***
What does our leader do?
-Recruit new team members year-round for the CASA VISTA team.
-Manage members' bi-monthly reports and track data for reporting so that we stay on track with our project goals.
-Put out a monthly/bi-monthly team newsletter.
-Organize team meetings and teleconferences as needed.
-Act as a resource to host sites and educate the Louisiana CASA network about the partnership between AmeriCorps and LACASA.
-Assess the needs of our team members and host sites, and respond to those needs with training and other technical assistance.
-Create a sense of cohesiveness for our statewide team.
As a VISTA Team Leader, you keep all the benefits you had before- in addition to a $200 living stipend increase! We are looking for our new Team Leader to start on August 1st, 2009. This position is eligible for relocation allowance.
