Description:
This program offers families the opportunity to travel together to Nepal and volunteer or do cultural homestays together. Families (up to 4) can be placed in the same family and in the same village. They can participate in community activities or even visit local schools and orphanages. Families larger then 4 can be arranged in the same village but in different families. This allows families to travel and share the same experiences. The minimum age is 4 years old.
Program fees will vary according to family size and placement options. The program fee includes airport pickup and drop off, language and cultural orientation training,
sightseeing in Kathmandu,
specialised training for your chosen program, land transportation to and from village placement, accommodation during training period in Kathmandu, accommodation and meals with your host family during the placement, 24 hours volunteer supervision and office administration, legal service, scholarship and sponsorship for orphanage children and deprived children.
You will be responsible for your flight tickets to Nepal and visa fees are follows:
US $25 - 15 days multiple entry touist visa fees
US $40 - 30 days multiple entry tourist visa fees
US $40 - per month thereafter, for a maxium of 5 months of stay
Any time you spend in Nepal outside the duration of your training and placement and any trips or activities you arrange in your spare time is self funded although we offer help and extreme ease in planning activities.
Program fees don't include:
Visa/Visa extension fee, meals during the training in Kathmandu hotel, traveling and other expenses out of the placement during weekends, air tickets (Domestic/International), airport departure tax from Nepal (about $30 US dollars), insurance, laundry service, bar bills, or telephone calls.
Cancellation policy:
-1 to 4 weeks placements is non refundable
-75% Refund- Before starting program training
-150 Euros will not be refunded after starting the training
-Money will not be refunded once you start your volunteer placement and not transferable
Accomodations are with a traditional Nepali family. Placements include Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Pokhara.
Placement duration, start and end dates are flexible as volunteers are welcome at any time throughout the year. Minimum program stay is 2 weeks and maximum stay is 5 months.
