Description:
Share what you know and love with Charlotte Middle Schoolers!
WHO: Any individual or group with skills to share with young people aged 11-14!
WHAT: Teach your career or passion in after-school apprenticeships--hands on learning opportunities for students. No teaching experience is necessary! All Citizen Schools volunteers receive intensive training and are supported by a full-time, professional educator every step of the way. Lawyers turn their apprentices into prosecutors; artists cultivate young muralists; gardeners lead a team of twelve-year-old green thumbs; financial analysts teach young investors the time value of money.
WHEN: Volunteers teach weekly 90-minute learning projects for 11 afternoons. The Spring Semester begins the week of February 9, and ends the week of May 4.
WHERE: Citizen Schools operates its program at two Charlotte campuses: Martin Luther King Middle School, and Eastway Middle School
HOW: Contact Meghan Gray, Volunteer Manager at meghangray@citizenschools.org, or 704.332.3645.
