Description:

SEDA-Laos (Social and Economic Developers Association) has opportunities for volunteer English teachers to work in rural areas of Laos. This will allow volunteers to help students improve their English skills while at the same time experiencing Lao life.

Volunteers will be working as language teachers in a school project in rural Laos. Tasks will include curriculum development, teaching and sharing skills with local teachers. Volunteers will stay with local host families in traditional Lao villages.

This position would suit a person with teaching skills and an interest in international development. No formal qualifications or teaching experience is required, although Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) qualifications are an advantage.

A minimum of 6 months commitment is required. Some villages are able to provide free basic accommodation or homestay.
