Overview -
Magical Moment Around the World is a global educational project dedicated to inspiring global coexistence, compassion, mutual care, understanding and a reverence of life, by fostering awareness that we are all connected by one human spirit. Gal Kleinman, the project's founder, is seeking visionary, passionate, skilled, and creative volunteers to form the core team. Be part of laying the foundation and join in creating an organization of dedicated inspiring individuals!
The Director of Fundraising will be a member of the management team, and will work closely with staff members to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising plan.
The position requires some presentation and public speaking activities. S/he will be a source of inspiration to those around him\her and lead by example. Support and empower people to use their potential, in making a positive impact on the world's youth. This is a full-time\part time, voluntary position done remotely from home or other location.
Responsibilities:
• Oversees fundraising planning and implementation, including identifying resource requirements, researching funding sources, establishing strategies to approach funders, submitting proposals and administrating fundraising records and documentation
• Write letters, proposals, grant reports and correspondence to funders, including government agencies, foundations, corporations and individual giving
• Build and solidify relationships with new and established contributors
• Plan special events and develop public relations strategy as it relates to fundraising together with the Director of Marketing & Communications
• Engage Magical Moment staff in activities to ensure achievement of fundraising goals.
Qualifications:
• Passion for the project's mission.
• Experience in fundraising. Fundraising experience for educational organizations strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully securing large grants or major donations preferred.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Creative and inspiring writer.
• Excellent knowledge of English (oral and written). Bilingual or multilingual a plus.
• Excellent computer and Internet skills
• BA in related field preferred
