Description:
LINUX-Windows XP, IT Support Volunteer Opportunity
Women at Risk, is a breast cancer organization associated with New York's Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. We would like to fill a 3 month, volunteer opportunity in IT Support. This individual must be comfortable with the maintenance of a Linux Server running the SUSE Enterprize 10 operating system. The selected individual will be familiar with the creation of CRON Files, the Linux (Unix) command line and software installation within the Linux OS. Daily support is also needed for users working within the Windows XP Pro operating system using Microsoft Office products. Must be familiar with Microsoft Access database and report development. Knowledge of Visual FoxPro, Donor Perfect and the function of relational databases will be helpful.
