Description:
Chrysalis is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping economically disadvantaged and homeless individuals become self-sufficient through employment opportunities. We are looking for friendly, outgoing volunteers to educate and empower our job-seeking clients!
Chrysalis needs volunteers to facilitate job preparation classes, help clients create resumes, conduct practice interviews, assist clients with computer use, organize our clothing room, and help with special events and administrative work on occasion. We have a specific need for support in our Valley office, located in Pacoima. Spanish/English speakers are a plus!
The majority of volunteer opportunities are available during our business hours: Monday thru Thursday 8am-4pm, and Friday 8am-Noon. We are located at 14015 Van Nuys Blvd Suite E in Pacoima. Most of our volunteers commit 1 to 3 hours per week and there is little experience necessary (just a helpful attitude and basic computer skills!). We do ask that volunteers commit to a weekly time in order help clients plan ahead. We look forward to meeting you!
