Description:
As a Patient Support Assistant volunteer, you will provide patient support during medical and surgical procedures at the St. Paul location. You will also provide support during recovery as well as as-needed assistance to staff in ensuring efficient flow of clinic processes. This position is essential to maintaining a calm and comfortable experience for all patients throughout medical procedures. As a qualified candidate, you will support Planned Parenthood’s mission and be able to provide confidential, compassionate and non-judgmental services to Planned Parenthood’s patients. Must have flexible weekday availability and be able to make a total minimum commitment of 150 hours (most volunteers do 1-4 shifts per week of 4-6 hours per shift). Must be comfortable in surgical setting (specifically, not bothered by sight of blood, needles, etc.)
