Position: Biodiversity Research Database Designer - Virtual, Ya’axché Conservation Trust
Location: Virtual, Belize, Central America
Background Information:
The Ya’axché Conservation Trust is a community-oriented organization which advances integrated landscape management for equitable development in southern Belize through sustainable land use management, strategic advocacy and awareness, and by supporting socially innovative and economically viable enterprise.
Duration of Assignment:
1 - 3 months
Biodiversity Research Database Designer Responsibilities:
1. To design a database for the compilation and analysis of biodiversity data collected during research and monitoring activities.
Qualifications:
• The successful applicant should have the following:
• Highly skilled with database design
• Experienced statistician, preferably in the field of biodiversity/conservation
• Excellent communication and English language skills
• Ability to operate as part of a team, as well as motivation and enthusiasm to work under own initiative
