Description:

The Bala Janaagraha is a uniquely designed citizenship education programme that is aimed at empowering the children with the knowledge, skills and values necessary to develop a deep sense of ownership and responsibility towards their society. Through interactive classroom sessions and project work children discover the rights and responsibilities of a citizen in a democracy. The programme demystifies local government, introduces the political relevance of the ward and stresses the need for citizen participation in local governance



Bala Janaagraha Volunteers:

Volunteers will undergo a short training session to equip them with the necessary knowledge and teaching methods for the programme.
Volunteers will be required to teach, mentor and guide children with their projects in various schools across Bangalore.
