Based in Accra, Ghana, Linking Cultures is a registered not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation, which specialises in recruiting international volunteers for charitable organisations locally, as well as organise educational tours for university students and educators abroad.

We are seeking a creative Web Designer who is skilled in Joomla Content Management System to help rebuild our website.

On applying for this virtual volunteer opportunity, we will need

1. you to install the latest stable release of Joomla on our web server, eliminating all possible security threats which may pose a danger to our website

2. install a free Joomla template from a website we will provide you, with all the necessary extensions, including text editing extensions, etc on our web server or custom design a joomla template with our logo, tag line, links and photos if you have the time and

3. offer us technical support in updating our websites.

This opportunity is ideal for anyone especially off-duty professionals or graduate students looking to gain exposure to the nonprofit sector and to be a part of a unique organization that believes in diversity in culture and perspectives as the key to effectively meeting the needs of all its cherished stakeholders.

Qualifications: Applicants must be experienced in graphic and web designing, mysql and php. Successful applicants will work closely with the Content Editor of Linking Cultures and will communicate on a regular basis.

Hours: per week negotiable, work begins ASAP.
