Description:

The National MS Society, Greater Washington Chapter seeks committed volunteers to make an impact in the lives of people living with MS. The Financial Assistance Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating financial assistance requests, including referrals to other community organizations, agencies, providers and vendors. They will help connect people with MS to resources to help foster independence in living well with MS. This position is an in-office volunteer position.
Required skills: Must have strong commitment to improving the quality of life for people with MS. Comfortable making phone calls and excellent communication skills. Willingness to learn client needs, ability to link individuals to resources. Experience in handling inquiries. Work independently. Excellent organizational skils. Ability to deal with individuals in crisis. Positive attitude toward clients and staff.
