Description:
The New Orleans chapter of the American Red Cross is currently seeking volunteers for their Disaster Action Team (DAT). Volunteers will be trained to respond to a number of disasters, primarily house fires. Team members will respond to emergencies by providing disaster victims with immediate assistance in the form of food, clothing, and shelter, as well as assist in canteening to emergency workers in large scale disasters.
