Description:

Working with community groups in rural locations you will be helping the local people to protect the environment and enhance community life.

There is a variety of projects to choose from on a number of islands in western Samoa, which have been established for many years now.

The projects include wildlife conservation, sustainable agriculture, sustainable living (especially in rural villages), responsible tourism development, and cultural enhancement. There is also some coral conservation work for experienced divers. Preference is given to those with relavent experience.

As a volunteer you would live with a family in one of the most pro-active villages and you will find yourself immersed deep within the Samoan culture.

The cost of registering for this project is $160 and the cost per day for food and accommodation is £20 / $32. Travel costs are extra.
