Description:

Pets that remain in kennels or cages for long periods of time can become stressed, lessening their adoptability. Our new dog walking /cat visiting program gets the pets out of their cages and exposes them to friendly human contact on a regular basis. While cats cuddle and play with volunteers in the cat room, dogs can be walked along nearby Bear Creek Trail. We have divided the program into three shifts: 8-11, 11-2 and 2-5. This program will run seven days a week. Time commitment of one 3-hr. shift a week for 6 months.
